Our Teachers

Wendy Hagan, Junior Class Teacher

Teacher Wendy taught preschool for twelve years before joining Tualatin Valley Preschool in 2001. She taught in private preschools for five years before moving to a co-op preschool setting and likes the idea of parents being involved with the preschool and taking an active role in their children’s education.

Teacher Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge and has taken extensive course work in Child Development, Children’s Literature / Music / Theater, Arts & Crafts, P.E. and Creative Dance.

Wendy has lived in Tualatin since 1999 with her husband, Dave, and two daughters, Jenny and Danielle.


Adam Harris, Senior Class Teacher

Adam Harris is a long time Tualatin resident and a devoted father of three young boys. He enjoys outdoor pursuits, including camping, hiking, and gardening. He also enjoys reading and exploring new books, His favorite activity is spending quality time with his family. Before working at TVP he was a volunteer at the preschool for many years. He is a strong supporter of Cooperative Preschools. It creates a great community where parents are able to play an active role in their child’s educational experience.

Adam graduated from George Fox University with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology. He returned to George Fox to obtain his Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Adam has his Oregon Teaching Certificate valid for Kindergarten through eighth grade. He also has an extensive background of Teaching in the Tigard-Tualatin School District.


Raechel Brady, Former Senior Class Teacher (2004-2015)

Raechel Brady has been teaching at the primary level since 2002. She has always known that she wanted to be a teacher. It is something that brings her a great sense of joy and fulfillment. She loves the idea of working at a cooperative preschool. She feels that it allows parents to play that vital role in their child’s educational experience.

Raechel graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology. She then went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia Univeristy in Portland. Raechel has her Oregon teaching certificate valid for grades Kindergarten through eighth.

Raechel left TVP at the end of the 2015 school year to move with her family to a new city.

Tualatin Valley Preschool is a non-profit parent cooperative preschool that offers a child-centered teaching environment with an emphasis on play. Our philosophy includes a developmental approach to teaching in small classes that provides a nurturing atmosphere to build children’s self esteem and other school skills.
